CHAPTER EIGHT PART ONE::
"Two adult tickets to 'The Dark Knight' please?" Ally asked the employee. Yup, I was with her too. Crazy isn't it? The last time I really enjoyed myself with a friend was with Nick. And that didn't even really count.
"Mia? Are you going to make me watch the movie by myself?"
"Oh sorry." I handed the ticket to the ticketstub and entered the large, warm theatre. The smells of popcorn and churros filled my nose. Too bad I was on my 'diet' huh? Its been forever since something sweet or salty satisfied my tastebuds.
"Did you want to get something Mia? We have about 10 minutes before showtime"
"Naw, I'm fine. I ate before I came."
"Okay, well, lets go then." Ally led the way to the movie room. We stepped into the room, the light from the door slicing the darkness. We scanned the seats and headed up the the middle. Ally sat down and pulled her hair into a ponytail. As I shedded my coat and scarf of off me, my stomach started to grumbled and a migrane had begun in my head.
"Are you okay? You look like you've just seen a ghost!" Ally asked.
"Yea, I'm fine."
"Mmkkay. Well listen, I'm gonna head to snackbar and grab a popcorn. You sure you don't want anything?"
"Yea, I'm positive. Thanks for asking though."
Ally stood up and excused herself from the crowded aisle. I sat down and made myself comfortable, trying to get rid of my sudden headache. I grabbed my bag and reached for my Advil tablets. I tried to feel the bottle, but there was nothing there.
"Oh my God. Oh my God." I gasped. Without that those tablets, I could be in serious trouble. The lights in the room dimmed and the previews had lit up the screen. I ignored the noises and stuck my head into my bag, trying to find my medicine. As soon has my head was in that bag, I felt like throwing chunks right then and there. I lifted myself up and turned around.
"Excuse me sir?" I whispered. Two people turned to me and shushed me.
"What?"
"I don't mean to bother you, but would you happen to have an Advil or asprin?"
"SHUSH" Five people this time.
"I'm sorry young lady. But no."
I turned back to the screen, my eye sight beginnning to blur. Why does this happen to me? And at the worst times too. I stood up and tried to squeeze myself out to the bathroom. My eyes suddenly locked with someone elses.
"Oh Lord. Why is he here. Why God, why?
The floor beneath began to twist, and I lost my balance. I suddenly fell on the aisle step.
**Nick's P.O.V.**
Her blue eyes founded mine. As soon as I saw Mia at the theatre, my heart melted. She looked so pale, so sick. I was wondering what was wrong.
"Mia, are you okay?" I horsely whispered.
"SHUT UP MAN!" Three people turned around. I gave a disgusted look at them and turned back to her. But she was no longer standing up.
"Oh my God!"
She had passed out on the floor. Her skin was so cold, her eyes were shut. My heart was suddenly in a twist. I saw Ally enter the theatre room, holding a big bag of popcorn. But as soon as she layed eyes on Mia, the bag was no longer in her hands. It dropped. Almost as fast as my heart did.
"Somebody help her!" I yelled.
People all across the room turned around and starting cussing, yelling, and shouting at me. But as soon as they saw why I was such a wreck, they quickly shut up. The previews had stopped, and the lights in the room and lit up. Ally rushed to Mia's side, checking her pulse. When she found a heartbeat, I swear, I'd never seen such a relieved look in my life.
"Oh thank God." I muttered.
Ally turned to me with an evil look.
"Since when do you care about anyone but yourself?"
I was shocked.
"Hey Mi-"
"Save it. I'm gonna take Mia back home. Have fun with your grunting, selfish, dirty, perverted jock friends."
She helped Mia out the door. Mia turned to me and gave me a half-smile. Everything Ally had just said about me, disappered.
